Focus on the Creek

"Focus on the Creek" was a Concrete Couch project funded by the Arts in Society grant which aimed to enhance Lower Shooks Run Creek's ecological health, improve safety along the Legacy Loop Trail, and foster community pride through mural, educational programs, a science kiosk, a youth summer camp, and volunteer opportunities.

The project feature of 10 mural panels were painted by different artists, organizations, and community groups and were installed under a historic stone bridge at the community park. These panels illustrate various aspects of the local community and invite in diverse perspectives and stories. Combined, they tell an illustrative and bright collective story of the multitudes of Colorado Springs.

In addition to managing grant fulfillment and event planning, I helped with 6 of the mural panels in different capacities.
