Big Starry Skies
Big Starry Skies is a virtual exhibit created as an independent research project for Colorado College's State of the Rockies Project.
The State of the Rockies Project encourages students to further their interests in the social and political challenges of living in the Rocky Mountain West. Students embark on inter-disciplinary investigations around the region to discover the possibilities for balancing human activity without spoiling the natural environment.
This virtual gallery/exhibit aims to use art to bring awareness to the importance of the night skies to humans artistically, culturally, and historically.
This work included extensive research, curating, managing image contracts, label writing, and virtual exhibit design.
